Champion T525C size chart and published specs

Champion's T525C publishes six sizes, S to 3XL, and at the chest it is the most ordinary blank in the set: 18.0" flat at S, rising exactly 2.0" a size to 28.0" at 3XL, matching the Gildan G500, Hanes 5250T, Bella+Canvas 3001C and Gildan 5400. It separates itself on length at the top of the run — 33.0" at 2XL and 34.0" at 3XL, an inch longer than those Gildan and Bella+Canvas tees. Chest, length and shoulder carry the load; sleeve is published but unusable.

The run stops at 3XL: no XS, no 4XL, no 5XL, where the G500 and 5250T reach 5XL and the 3600 starts at XS. Those sizes are absent, not zero. Commercial data lands on one row: S carries a $5.64 price and a source URL, the other five price 0 and no URL — nothing captured, not zero-priced. Composition and color are empty. The catalog holds 180 gsm and a knit construction, but all 53 blank-spec rows across all eight styles carry 180 gsm — a default, not a measured weight.

Four more points are published at every size: hem sweep, bicep, sleeve opening and neck, 17.54", 6.60", 5.91" and 6.53" at S rising to 27.43", 10.17", 8.46" and 8.25" at 3XL. All 24 cells match to the hundredth of an inch the figures carried for the 3001C, G500, 5400 and 5250T. Four brands do not agree on a 6.96" sleeve opening by coincidence: a block default.

Sleeve. ShirtMath measures sleeve from the shoulder seam to the cuff edge. On that definition the short-sleeve blanks here publish about 8.1" at S — 8.15" for the 3001C, 8.13" for the 5250T. This row says 16.75". Two short-sleeve tees cannot differ by eight and a half inches of sleeve, so the column follows a convention the catalog does not record. It is printed because the data holds it, and left out of the diagram.

The 3XL shoulder. Shoulder grades cleanly for five sizes — 17.25", 19.25", 21.25", 23.25", 25.25", exactly 2.00" a step — then 3XL reads 21.71", narrower than the 2XL by 3.54" and narrower than the Large. That same 21.71" is the 3XL shoulder carried for four other styles. A broken series landing on a shared number is a filled cell, not a measurement. Read it as absent.

Gildan is a wall of zeros on chest, flat on length until 2XL where the T525C picks up an inch and keeps it. The C4017 is wider everywhere by exactly half an inch but longer only through the middle of the run; at 3XL both read 34.0". Against the Next Level 3600 the whole difference sits at the small end.

The comparison that goes nowhere is the Hanes 5250T: same chest at all six sizes, same length at all six, same shoulder S through 2XL, same secondary points throughout. On published numbers there is nothing to choose between them — a fact about the spec sheets, not the shirts: taper, fabric hand and drape are not on a spec sheet.

The distance that matters is between cuts: the ladies' Gildan G500L Medium publishes a 17.5" chest and 26.0" length against 20.0" and 29.0" here — 2.5" narrower and 3" shorter on the same letter. Buyers come to this style for a heritage-weight reputation, and the catalog can neither confirm nor deny it: the only fabric fields are 180 gsm and "knit", composition is empty, and that 180 gsm sits on every blank-spec row of every style.

The dimensional argument does hold. Long body, standard chest: 33.0" at 2XL and 34.0" at 3XL against 32.0" and 33.0" for the G500, 5400, 3001C and 3600, while holding the narrower half of the unisex chest band.
