Affiliate disclosure
ShirtMath earns a commission when you buy through some of the outbound links on this site, at no extra cost to you. That commission never decides which garments you are shown or what order they appear in.

As an Amazon Associate, ShirtMath earns from qualifying purchases. Some other outbound links on this site are also affiliate links, meaning ShirtMath may receive a commission if you buy something after clicking one. You pay the same price either way.
Which links are affiliate links?
Outbound links that take you to a retailer to buy a garment may carry an affiliate tag. That includes Amazon search links and links to retailer product pages reached from a match result. Links between pages on this site, links to a brand's own size chart or specification sheet, and links used as a source citation are not affiliate links and earn nothing.
Where a page carries an affiliate link, this disclosure — or the same statement in the site footer — appears above it, in plain text, on the rendered page. It is never hidden inside a dropdown, a tooltip or a pop-up.
Does a commission change what ShirtMath recommends?
No, and the reason is structural rather than a promise. Garments are ranked by how their measurements compare with the reference garment you provide. A garment either matches your numbers or it does not, and commercial status is not one of the inputs to that comparison. A retailer cannot pay to be ranked higher, and no ShirtMath page presents a paid placement as a fit result.
The same rule applies in reverse: a garment that fits is shown even if no commission is available on it, and garments whose merchants publish no usable measurements are excluded from fit matching entirely rather than being padded out with guesses. The methodology page explains how that comparison is done.
What ShirtMath earns on, in practice
ShirtMath is pre-launch and does not publish revenue figures, customer counts or conversion data, because it has none worth reporting. What is accurate to say is the mechanism: when a link carries an affiliate tag and a purchase completes, the retailer's affiliate programme may pay a percentage of that sale to ShirtMath. Whether any particular click earns anything depends on the retailer's own rules, cookie windows and returns.
Prices and availability
Prices and availability shown anywhere on this site are read from retailer data and can change at any time. The retailer's own page is always authoritative. ShirtMath does not display static prices as a matter of policy, because a stale price is both misleading to you and a violation of several affiliate programmes' terms.
